Theory
At VG & Asociattes we keep in constant training to implement in the private sector the tools usually applied in the field of research.
Our work in SMEs and family-owned companies is based on Elliott Jaques’ Requisite Organization theory. Step by step, we build concepts and introduce the working procedures that enable CEOs and managers, and senior executives to develop the requisite organization in their own place:
We work to strengthen and develop the real and potential capability of Leaders and Team Members.
We draw on two key concepts:
“Stratified systems theory” which seeks to optimize the hierarchical structure Stratified systems theory (SST) established a common schema for measuring individual capabilities, capacity for decision making, and time-span people that allows to assign posts based on best fit.
Once the Organization is analysed and the objectives set, we draw on a collection of tools that best apply for each case.
Méthod: ¿Are rituals that Good?
With his wisdom, The Little Prince gives us the best answer to illustrate our method:
If you come, for example, at four in the afternoon, from three o‘clock I’ll start feeling happy”.
En VG & Asociados diseñamos un método que se apoya en dos pilares:
- We create spaces for joint reflection called Organizational Devices which consist in scheduled weekly meetings.
- We implement a novel resource called Organizational Autoethnography that contributes to the construction of knowledge by resorting to critical reflection on the role, functions, responsibilities, scope and limitations of each position and each person in their work role.
This method includes the insight of those involved in the training process and contributes to a deeper understanding and sense-making of the behaviour of people in organizations.
This method will allow you to address real problems from multiple dimensions of analysis and raise the level of awareness regarding their possible resolutions, It will also help you analyse real cases through group discussions with the aim of generating new expectations.
