As entrepreneur you may have noticed that as your company grows, managers need to acquire new skills, and the organizational design and number of layers require an upwards shift.

In line with the Stratified Systems Theory (Jaques, 1989) who defines work in seven strata according to the decision-making complexity, in VG & Asociados we focus on the “individual-in-role”, more specifically in Middle Managers and Owners, and offer consultancy and training to help them develop the requisite qualities for the role. We provide clearer definitions of work at each managerial level.

  • In Lower Middle Management we focus on delegation strategies, team strengthening and key conceptual tools for the exercise of the role.
  • In Upper Middle Management or Owner, we help improve personal and professional growth, identify shortcomings in terms of the current capabilities of the individual-in-role and the actual work requirements and offer strategies to deal with the elevated level of uncertainty inherent in the position.

My experience in teaching and Education Research led to the creation of the VG & Asociados Consultancy to foster personal and professional development in SMEs and family-based companies.

We aim to contribute to the development of an integrated system to achieve effective organizations, taking as a guide the Theory of the Requisite Organization and the Managerial Leadership of Elliott Jaques.
